- T.A.L.K. (Teaching Animal Lessons to Kids) (K-5th
Grade)
T.A.L.K. is part of the humane education initiatives
of the SPCA of Central Florida. This program debuted
in 1997 with the help and support of Walt Disney World,
continues to support our local education system and
the mandate of Florida Statute 233.061 that requires
Florida schools teach kindness to animals as part
of their school curricula. This exciting program is
based on the belief that humane education, beginning
very early on, is the most effective way to teach
our children respect for all life and the prevention
of cruelty not only to animals, but also to humans.
Primary topics include Responsible Pet Ownership and
Bite Prevention.
- C.H.A.T. (Character Humane Animal Teachings)
(6th grade-12th grade)
A very special program also funded by WDW, full of
Interactivity, exciting lessons and presentations

animal cruelty, animal abuse and human violence, and
careers directly or indirectly involving animals.

to earn community service hours, a requirement for
graduation and many scholarship programs.

learning activities, hands-on interactions with animals,

own life experiences.
